The bright leaves of Autumn are turning brown and trees are becoming bare. While I’m sad to see the bright colors go, the bareness is a reminder that out of darkness comes light. The seasons are in a constant state of change. With each passing day, Winter is getting closer and it is getting colder. But, with each passing day, we are getting 1 day closer to Spring. Growth. Blooms. Nature awakening.
Spring and Summer will be here before we know it.
I find inspiration in nature…the colors (or lack of), the never-ending cycle of seasons, the beauty of the smallest to the grandeur of the largest. Each season is beautiful in its own way – the sweet smell and clouds of blooms in the Spring, the bright and longer days in the Summer, the leaves changing color in Autumn, and the bareness and white of winter.
This is one of my favorite views of this Autumn season. Love the bright colors and the light dancing over the valley and mountains. So inspiring.
Autumn is a great time of change and reflection…a season of perspective…a great reminder to look to the future. As the leaves change color, the vibrancy is a reminder of positivity and happiness. This is one of my go to pieces for the season.

Traditionally, the cycle of nature is more than just the changing of seasons. Each season is linked to a color, emotion, elements, and meaning. Autumn is associated with the color white – white candles are sometimes lit to be the light against the growing darkness of the season (or shorter days). It’s linked with emotions of sadness as trees are losing their leaves and becoming bare. It’s also linked with courage and change because growth and blooming is just around the corner. Autumn’s element is metal and a reminder of the cold days coming. Autumn is also associated with the direction west – the direction of dreams, vision, and creativity.
Autumn is a great season of perspective and looking to the future.
